Every bride and groom wants to have a wedding that is truly unique to their special day, vintage china is the perfect way to help make your day totally unique, elegant and memorable, whether you're having a tea station, Champagne and canapes as an entrée prior to your reception, having a prawn cup-tail as a starter, when you hold your afternoon tea wedding reception in a marquee, a hotel, a church hall or any other venue space, vintage china really gives a very special feel; adding the finishing touch to your wedding reception.

When you commission The Vintage Tea Service for your wedding reception you have the choice of just hiring the vintage china and accessories or you can have the complete package which includes the catering too.

A Bespoke Service
At The Vintage Tea Service I offer a dedicated and bespoke wedding service, providing you with an initial consultation (face to face or via Zoom) and then one further meeting to finalise details, (we will though, be in regular contact via email or messaging)to discuss and share the beautiful china and accessories you will use. At the initial consultation we'll discuss about your design ideas, colour palettes and how best to maximise the beauty of your tables.

I love being at the centre of the organising and everything is about perfection for me and I know that on your wedding day, the only thing that matters is that everything is absolutely perfect, so I pride myself on working with you to make your wedding reception an amazing and central part of your special day. Your carefully curated wedding package will add an additional layer of beauty to the celebrations, whatever your budget. From small intimate weddings to larger ones, whatever size reception you are planning, a wedding reception with vintage china is going to give your day that bespoke, beautiful and elegant feel.

In addition to the consultations I offer a delivery and collection, also a set-up service too. (If you decide to book one of the wedding packages which includes the catering, the delivery, collection and set-up is included in the overall package price per guest.)

If you decide to go with The Vintage Tea Service's partnered caterer, you'll either have a joint or separate appointment to initially discuss all of your catering for your wedding reception.
How Does it Work?
Once you've decided to commission The Vintage Tea Service for your wedding reception, we'll discuss whether you want to have a complete package, which includes the catering, or you just want to hire your vintage china and accessories and have your catering from an alternative provider.
When you have made the decision on what option you want to go for, we'll first discuss your ideas for your china. Next we will have a face to face meeting so that you can view some of the china available, the colour(s) palette and designs that you want to go with, this will help with the next stage of planning, I’ll then plan out the teacups, saucers and tea plates and coordinate it with the 8” plates, teapots and 3 tier stands for each table. And at each stage of the process you can have as much, or a little input as you wish, I’ll work with your florist and event planner to maximise the overall feel of your wedding reception. Finally, a couple of weeks before your wedding we’ll confirm your china, so that you know exactly the look that you’ll be getting.The next stage will be to plan out each table with all the china.

If you decide to go for the complete package either the Lace, Pearl, Sapphire or Diamond, you'll be put in contact with Rhiannon from The Wild Flour Food Co, she'll take the lead from the catering side of things. Once you have agreed your menu, Rhiannon I will discuss the china, food options and coordinate so that everything looks as amazing as it can be at your reception.
Delivery and set-up will be agreed and the catering will be delivered and displayed as close to the reception as possible, making sure you, your spouse and guests receive the ultimate experience with beautifully fresh homemade food on stunning vintage china.
After the wedding the china will be collected.

The China & Accessories
The vintage china that I provide is the very best quality, providing a wide range of styles through a palette of colours. There are currently 176 different teacup styles available to hire (March 2023). Everything that you need for an afternoon tea wedding reception can be provided - two and three tier cake stands, glass pedestal stands, teapots, cake/sandwich plates; crystal/vintage glass clotted cream and jam dishes, cream jugs and sugar bowls.​

Depending on your reception catering, your guests will have a silver plated starter knife, alternatively a tea knife or you could go for a combination of the two. Guests will also have a cake fork and a teaspoon. Spoons for the clotted cream and jam are also available, along with sugar tongs.
China & Catering Packages
If you wish to combine the hiring of the vintage china and accessories with the catering, you are more than welcome to do so; the advantage is that it allows for great communication, less fuss and will ensure a seamless delivery. If you decide to use Wild Flour Food Co, you'll have either a joint or separate appointment to discuss your catering requirements for your wedding breakfast.

In addition if you decide to choose one of the wedding packages, Rhiannon from the Wild Flour Food Co will discuss the various options with you and deal with the catering. I will sort out wit you, the china, cutlery and any accessorises you may want to add on.
